Provenance

The picture entered the museum collection collection in 1926 from the collection of Vasiliy A. Stchawinski (1868 – 1924). According to Stchawinski, the piece was acquired by him in 1909 «at the auction of Sidorov [collection]». Alexander I. Sidorov (1835 – 1906) – a restorer and keeper at the Hermitage (St. Petersburg).
