Provenance
From the collection of Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko. In his written memories Bohdan Khanenko reported that the previous location of the piece was the collection of baron de Beurnonville (1825 – 1906) in Paris. The painting can probably be identified with sketches ""River deity and two nymphs, one of them – with cornucopia,"" which was presented under the auctions: Cabinet J.-B. le Brun, Paris, 11 – 23.04.1791, lot 82; sale Munro, London, London, 1847; sale baron E. de Beurnonville, Paris, 09 – 016.05.1881, lot B1.
